History
Starting wide belt sanding
In 1942 J. Boere began a repair shop for woodworking in Waddinxveen, NL. In this center for the wood processing industry initially mainly machines for making furniture and toys were repaired. The market, however, also asked for new machinery, a challenge which Mr Boere took up in 1946. He developed frame clamping machines, carcase presses and routers. Later on small sanding machines such as centerless belt sanders, profile and edge sanders, rotary belt sanders and drum sanders were added to the delivery programme. In 1952 Mr Boere developed and constructed the machine that was to determine the company’s future: the wide belt sanding machine.
Across all continents
The wide belt sanding machine combines through its endless sanding belts the advantages of a long belt sander with those of a cylinder sander. This machine sands both to thickness (calibrates) and fine finishes. Moreover, sanding paper can be quickly replaced. As of 1966 the company totally specializes on the manufacturing of wide belt sanding machines. After the succes on the Dutch market P.G. Boere, the present managing director, concentrates itself intensively and succesfully on the export. After having conquered the countries around the Netherlands (Belgium and Germany) export soon expands to the other European countries and the rest of the world. Today Boere exports to 46 counties, across all continents. The company works through a worldwide network of resellers who are all highly dedicated to a customer-led approach and service. Boere's wide belt sanding machines from Waddinxveen can be found all acrosse the world!
Dutch product of top quality
Boere wide belt sanding machines are known for their sturdiness and reliability. Many of them operate much longer than the expected life of comparable machinery. To that end the production proces is strictly controlled, both internally and externally. The machines are designed in-company by means of CAD-systems. Then the in-company trained and skilled employees assemble the machines in Boere’s own shop. Boere’s electrical technicians build the switch boxes themselves and the machines are sprayed and finished off, also in-company. Boere strictly complies to the (European) standards and the resulting legislation in the field of machinery safety. As such, the sound and dust emission levels, for example, lie well under the legal requirements.
